Sorry you're leaving

Today I'm sharing a card with you that I made for a friend of mine who will be leaving soon to go to live in a different town. We don't see each other all the time but it is nice to know that she is nearby. I feel sad about this change but it's the right thing for her and her family.

Birds in the wood

Hello there! This evening I would like to share a card that I made for two challenges using a cute stamp set that I got years and years ago - does anybody remember the wonderful stamp company called Elzybells? I really miss these cute stamps and was so disappointed when the company closed down. The stamps were obviously good quality because they are still working well. I also used Stampin' Up's Hardwood stamp, which I love, and did some masking. 

I am entering this card into the Just Us Girls challenge #474 which is to use some form of 'wood', the Addicted to CAS challenge #152 - 'birds'.

Cute ballerina

Hello folks. Today I am sharing a cute card I made for an even cuter little girl - one of my wonderful granddaughters. She goes to ballet lessons so when I saw this stamp from My Favourite Things, I knew it was just what I needed to make her a special birthday card. I love the sentiment too because she is forever dancing and twirling, and very often has me up twirling with her! I am entering this card into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday #568 Anything Goes. I think I'm just going to get in before the link closes tonight! Hope you like the card.

Promarkers and flowers

Hi folks! I've been browsing the web for some nice challenges to do this week and I came across these two, which incorporate two of my favourite things in cardmaking - promarker pens and flowers! Last week, I made out a couple of charts, matching up my promarkers to my Stampin' Up supplies so you'll see in this card, I've used the Tulip Yellow promarker which matches my Daffodil Delight cardstock. I've only recently purchased (bit by bit) the whole collection of promarkers and I'm really pleased to have the whole set. Both the stamps and the dies on the card are new to me last week (purchased from the lovely and helpful Tracy at Dies to Die For) and I love them. They are such cute delicate flowers from Pretty Pink Posh and a joy to colour in. Sorry the picture quality isn't great - it's a very dull, wet and dismal day here in Northern Ireland and the light isn't very good.
