Isn't the weather fantastic at the minute? I hope it's lovely where you are.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Today, I'm sharing a card I have made for the <a href="https://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2021/07/the-flower-challenge-58-add-spots-or.html" target="_blank">Flower Challenge #58</a> which is to incorporate spots or stripes. I have to say, I really enjoyed making this card and am pleased with how it turned out. All of the products I used are Stampin' Up! which you can see by clicking on the photo.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://karenmurray.stampinup.net/my_projects" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1257" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAl_ldpD0US2U01VyIORqBlyZjgyyZEeC0BnSbWAq2wuv-K0RCzLiteFplE2b4-FhHpr6t_XWXLqGu0D8vPcAqY6iHf2b8d7z-f_G3P06pIiF6VPTpUUPgDQ5cAPZp_TLiUS71ZGwDFFU/s320/Stripes+birthday1.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for visiting today!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Have a great weekend.</div><br /><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-61657982175711566002021-07-07T20:03:00.002+00:002021-07-08T08:11:51.547+00:00Alphabet Challenge - Going for Gold<p style="text-align: center;"> Hi there, friends.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Today I'm sharing a card that I have made for the <a href="https://alphabetchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2021/07/g-is-for-green-or-gold.html" target="_blank">Alphabet Challenge - G is for Green or Gold</a> and I've chosen <i>gold</i>. One of my last two cards also featured the striking and bold black and white gingham, so I've used this Designer Series paper again because I love this look. I wasn't sure how it would work with the gold, but I'm pretty pleased with how it has turned out. Isn't that metallic gold card really pretty? It's great quality, thick and good for die cutting.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><i>Click on the photos to go to My Projects on my Stampin' Up! website.</i></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/q0FnxH" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1140" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwzDhLtapOxY-yS-j2scZtOClcM3QlnRJeX93xycvlECD4ZgE1wJWHmN8L4HJjfbiazMqP5T9Rw4irbE_E2G1ns90O51rDYbEbUG8kUWRnVgyAq6G6N_QE5u7SKu54CBksckXOTRzI4Y8/s320/Gingham+birthday1.jpg" /></a></div><div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://s.tamp.in/q0FnxH" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1140" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnpt4BcyYPAb8MwgQ2mbcogs1W8cpNPrlB3s0ymar96MIMkKeVx4P8Ck5FZu8J8aAzLbsmWB5R2WqoxgPoHX2uh8LB6hMHUsDKplk6lZYAX9I28ZS0LubvpBCefP-Hwrxrpv8A0LH-UQU/s320/Gingham+birthday2.jpg" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for visiting today!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-6356392573245277052021-06-19T22:34:00.004+00:002021-06-21T15:23:35.028+00:00Daring to Just Add Ink and Colours<p style="text-align: center;"> Hi there, today I have two cards to share with you that I made this morning. Until I made these, I didn't realise just how striking black and white with a touch of added colour is. I think this is something I may make more of. All products are Stampin' Up! (apart from the Bible verse).</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyDu07gQZVv6Z9yPAJVN7rQafcnPWtPCXS1ZoHdfuVRVu0D-rE-V0PS4Vy8paBuL_J4Q8CM_TV8s5DicApbuM-7QY11cBTdGegEHsUdlrCJnMKej_UCxXrb-Otlhb3qbUiQAeCPwBjapQ/s1280/Card1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1113" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhyDu07gQZVv6Z9yPAJVN7rQafcnPWtPCXS1ZoHdfuVRVu0D-rE-V0PS4Vy8paBuL_J4Q8CM_TV8s5DicApbuM-7QY11cBTdGegEHsUdlrCJnMKej_UCxXrb-Otlhb3qbUiQAeCPwBjapQ/s320/Card1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5BJDI5zTtpm4skRrn9fZrge0tYj3rmcc6lLYrBLBA_Pljt4PJ9TrWhyphenhyphen32N7sEnreJtIRoX2HV4foAK6KLb_sM7jpUJnPED2zbh5ueNG9IrIOE2rwth-NKKU_Va2JQ0jHyduSO9AUnlpQ/s1280/Card2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1181" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5BJDI5zTtpm4skRrn9fZrge0tYj3rmcc6lLYrBLBA_Pljt4PJ9TrWhyphenhyphen32N7sEnreJtIRoX2HV4foAK6KLb_sM7jpUJnPED2zbh5ueNG9IrIOE2rwth-NKKU_Va2JQ0jHyduSO9AUnlpQ/s320/Card2.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">My inspiration for these cards is the following three challenges:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://daringcardmakers.blogspot.com/2021/06/just-checking.html" target="_blank">Daring Cardmakers - use check</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0QYUmPdKZ-iV0DLpVzjVRZSpYnj1Q3sgWcFRwUrZHefeOCtGgHlkBEADfo8VYa_wCrebT5BsBIuNRqmg3ym09l5dWBXb-UziuycWxF5ZnQqDq4geRHjys02RbC4b5l4bCYDmn1jeh_qU/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="320" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0QYUmPdKZ-iV0DLpVzjVRZSpYnj1Q3sgWcFRwUrZHefeOCtGgHlkBEADfo8VYa_wCrebT5BsBIuNRqmg3ym09l5dWBXb-UziuycWxF5ZnQqDq4geRHjys02RbC4b5l4bCYDmn1jeh_qU/w320-h320/image.png" width="320" /></a></div><br /><a href="http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2021/06/just-add-ink-559choose-two.html" target="_blank">Just Add Ink #559 - Choose two</a> (I chose stripes and paper strips)<p></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn0Rp49aZJlae3NxKdL8kNllCHmBYg6vujoiXxmxMinwgm6GEu5ZnEDLWamALDjWpGtrw20RW5nEXceSkDIdl5ASEMHpKTs7gMNU-cHWo2tRvsltDBBpkya_ctARm8dWtTU1TwF8SfMk4/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="140" data-original-width="400" height="112" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgn0Rp49aZJlae3NxKdL8kNllCHmBYg6vujoiXxmxMinwgm6GEu5ZnEDLWamALDjWpGtrw20RW5nEXceSkDIdl5ASEMHpKTs7gMNU-cHWo2tRvsltDBBpkya_ctARm8dWtTU1TwF8SfMk4/w320-h112/image.png" width="320" /></a></div><br /><a href="http://cascoloursandsketches.blogspot.com/2021/06/challenge-424-color.html" target="_blank">CAS Colours and Sketches #424 - Polished Pink, Old Olive, Mango Melody</a><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAuf7-F4B9_38JYsT-paS8dD0zj6ks4rS5Ptvofp9r-Hye1eUtj_fqzbh-0YUYJ3hkBsuERIGIfxzv2I5JGL7hPlzShAB1dAH5P5D5AZyRekAppXjyw19vO8-8ZGdTB5ENo4dKs0wCEaM/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="160" data-original-width="400" height="128" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhAuf7-F4B9_38JYsT-paS8dD0zj6ks4rS5Ptvofp9r-Hye1eUtj_fqzbh-0YUYJ3hkBsuERIGIfxzv2I5JGL7hPlzShAB1dAH5P5D5AZyRekAppXjyw19vO8-8ZGdTB5ENo4dKs0wCEaM/" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for visiting today.</div><br /><br /><p></p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-78500246728574212252021-04-01T16:05:00.000+00:002021-04-01T16:05:01.537+00:00Easter card<p style="text-align: center;"> Good afternoon, folks. Isn't it so lovely to see the Spring appearing? I absolutely love this time of year. It's my favourite, with so much to look forward to.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Today, I'm sharing an Easter card that I have made for some special friends - I made 13 altogether. They are for friends who I haven't seen for ages because of lockdown and I miss them and wanted them to know I'm thinking about them. A text now and again is ok, but with a card, the person knows so much more effort has gone into it and they can always leave it sitting out to look at and remind them they're being thought of.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I've used one of my favourite colours in the Stampin Up range - Magenta Madness; it is really gorgeous. I also used anod favourite which has since retired - Crisp Cantaloupe and also the current neutral colour, Sahara Sand.</p><p style="text-align: center;">The stamps are from the beautiful <i>Gift of Hope</i> Stampin Up set and I coloured the blooms with SU Markers.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm entering this card into the following challenges:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.inkspire-me.com/2021/04/inkspireme-challenge-446-oster-special.html">INKspire Me #446 Easter special</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://colourcrazychallenge.blogspot.com/2021/03/week-12-anything-goes-colouring.html">Colour Crazy Craft</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://promarkerchallenge.blogspot.com/2021/03/week-585something-beginning-with-b.html">Passion for Markers</a> - something beginning with 'B' (blossoms)</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/2021/04/challenge-680-anything-goes.html">Cute Card Thursday</a> #680 - anything goes</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjWDV3MCOaYpJU2HM3fiycxe5SJgGX-6bHvbyQbLRBl5K_ISz7LSMKmw9PnFYxO2uQIzB_xZRvfnc9MLcfQZQZlEXebhyphenhyphenhnuCMU4ClusDDBz5LhNgm5awVgJ2BGQLt2rPg-_EaXlhoZvs/s1280/Easter+card.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1198" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjWDV3MCOaYpJU2HM3fiycxe5SJgGX-6bHvbyQbLRBl5K_ISz7LSMKmw9PnFYxO2uQIzB_xZRvfnc9MLcfQZQZlEXebhyphenhyphenhnuCMU4ClusDDBz5LhNgm5awVgJ2BGQLt2rPg-_EaXlhoZvs/s320/Easter+card.PNG" width="320" /></a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thank you for visiting today. I hope you are well.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Do you like a challenge, well, I mean a cardmaking challenge? LOL! I always enjoy a good challenge to kickstart my creativity and I have made cards for three challenges this week.</p><p style="text-align: center;">First up is this one, my favourite, which I made for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day and it fits perfectly into <a href="http://addictedtocas.blogspot.com/2021/03/challenge-193-shapes.html" target="_blank">this challenge</a>, I think, which is to use Shapes. This challenge can be found at <a href="http://addictedtocas.blogspot.com/2021/03/challenge-193-shapes.html" target="_blank">Addicted to CAS #193.</a> I used a cute (retired) hexagonal punch and some (current) Designer Series Paper (DSP) <i>Hydrangea Hill</i> from Stampin Up, along with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set from the olden days! The colours are amazing on this paper, don't you think? Included is Mossy Meadow, Rococo Rose and Highland Heather. The sentiment is from the beautifully functional <i>Family Party</i> stamp set in the current Annual Catalogue.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisU9QmAi3JqKOxdqf1Q0UXJPHxcHcvnY2iwccsaCleNw0_uZ_6RS4ld2u2n0qdLgxh2taLqz6nJw_92DGWRzL1cfuvoP05fkwmQP-k_Llajp4s25dFEfAuhjusWXDUfJYt-dK1wTKFr30/s640/Mother+hexagonal.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="505" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEisU9QmAi3JqKOxdqf1Q0UXJPHxcHcvnY2iwccsaCleNw0_uZ_6RS4ld2u2n0qdLgxh2taLqz6nJw_92DGWRzL1cfuvoP05fkwmQP-k_Llajp4s25dFEfAuhjusWXDUfJYt-dK1wTKFr30/s320/Mother+hexagonal.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Next up, is a card I have made for the challenge at <a href="https://alphabetchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2021/03/y-is-for-yellow.html" target="_blank">Alphabet Challenge</a>, where the letter this time around is 'Y' for 'yellow', and I'm also entering this card into the challenge at <a href="https://colourcrazychallenge.blogspot.com/2021/03/week-10-anything-goes-colouring.html" target="_blank">Colour Crazy Craft</a> where it's Anything Goes as long as it's hand-coloured. My card is hand-coloured but I don't think it stands much of a chance as an entry because there is so little colouring in it! I like how his card is a lovely reminder that spring is definitely around the corner!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh05jfRmMUQA68DAdaPR0A5nQGZbzs3HWdl1UVymYAI0cgXrMbhvsiLercpCPttA7GBCgZUMxZzwEiXgia0TfYiedf7-77aLt3UpxbI1m46H876KWNeEQV6VqGMkF53GRB_liv42NnB4Bc/s1814/Oh+happy+day+Daffodil+Delight.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1814" data-original-width="1497" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh05jfRmMUQA68DAdaPR0A5nQGZbzs3HWdl1UVymYAI0cgXrMbhvsiLercpCPttA7GBCgZUMxZzwEiXgia0TfYiedf7-77aLt3UpxbI1m46H876KWNeEQV6VqGMkF53GRB_liv42NnB4Bc/s320/Oh+happy+day+Daffodil+Delight.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">For this card, I stamped the little bird and arrow image in black archival ink and coloured it in with Stampin' Write markers (Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay). The sun was stamped in Daffodil Delight and the sentiment is archival black ink. The stamps in this card are all from an old retired Hostess set called <i>Hello Love</i>. I layered the white card onto Daffodil Delight cardstock.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Thank you for stopping by today! Isn't it wonderful to be heading into Spring with all its newness and hope?! I love this time of year - winter is definitely not my season even though I really try hard to be positive. I think I need to hibernate from November to March, lol!</p><p style="text-align: center;">So today I would like to share this card with you that I made for my wee grandson who is one year old today! He's such a wee cutie and has such an endearing smile, which is always on his face (except when his sister tried to put a birthday hat on his head!).</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFbkXdSsxZh2sQeC1TIn0ywCItEj5BSQ3M5K-AcUJzQfC66fhqz2FThlJGvjVmJoYbYOW4bxBuKSM2Gn2gTY-uHkTqyzY1O6qJ2ppaa7zQ2FkMSqgm4XWEYr4L8yCyjquqF4VOhFbmQfY/s1280/Ethan+1st+birthday.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1275" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFbkXdSsxZh2sQeC1TIn0ywCItEj5BSQ3M5K-AcUJzQfC66fhqz2FThlJGvjVmJoYbYOW4bxBuKSM2Gn2gTY-uHkTqyzY1O6qJ2ppaa7zQ2FkMSqgm4XWEYr4L8yCyjquqF4VOhFbmQfY/s320/Ethan+1st+birthday.png" width="320" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">I am entering this card into the <a href="https://aaabirthday.blogspot.com/2021/03/game-23-patterned-paper.html" target="_blank">AAA Birthday challenge #23</a>, which is to use patterned paper and into the challenge at <a href="http://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.com/2021/03/challenge-169-ag-purple-and-green.html" target="_blank">Let's Craft and Create #169</a>, which is Anything Goes plus Green and Purple. I chose the free Designer Series paper I got when I joined Stampin Up in January this year. This paper is in Bermuda Bay (one of the Brights Collection) and I used Bermuda Bay and Gorgeous Grape ink. The photopolymer stamp set is new to me and is called Family Party. I love it, it is so versatile with family names, numbers and a few other cute extras, including sentiments.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Thank you for popping in today!</p><p style="text-align: center;">Stay safe x</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-12817568719274057292021-03-02T17:00:00.000+00:002021-03-02T17:00:00.496+00:00AAA Birthday challenge<p style="text-align: center;">Hi folks! I don't know about you but I find that I have hardly any time to do everything I need to do, even during this time of lockdown. Every time I plan to enter some challenges, they've closed before I even get the cards made, LOL!</p><p style="text-align: center;">Anyway, here is one I made for my friend's birthday. I love the Stampin' Up! I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe.</p><p style="text-align: center;">This evening I would like to share a simple one layer card that I made for my friend's husband's birthday. Needing some colour inspiration, I chose the sweet colours on the <a href="http://sundaystamps.blogspot.com/2021/02/ssc251-have-slice.html" target="_blank">Sunday Stamps challenge blog</a>. I used Calypso Coral, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Tangelo Twist (retired) ink and incorporated the old retired but wonderful Gorgeous Grunge stamps as well as my new fun <i>Approaching Perfection</i> stamp set, which is a freebie from Sale-a-bration when you spend £45. I love the cute little balloons! I'm also entering this into the <a href="http://timeoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2021/02/challenge-182.html" target="_blank">Time Out Challenge #182</a> which is to create a birthday or celebration card and also the clean and simple challenge at <a href="http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2021/02/pp529-clean-and-simple-challenge-from.html" target="_blank">The Paper Players PP529</a>.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCniiOUHXvlnZ4LbF3MFU5OGK8-jBAejQouNwq1ruGmCTWz3a64STkPBBpO-COkrLMHb1QC77hEjThqiH8hYT0gMSa8bjhkI7rMdGFgPoDvvovWudbQbfdZJtqiJE-gzCc9KKFJruVI-Q/s640/Sunday+Stamps+colours+25.02.21.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="487" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhCniiOUHXvlnZ4LbF3MFU5OGK8-jBAejQouNwq1ruGmCTWz3a64STkPBBpO-COkrLMHb1QC77hEjThqiH8hYT0gMSa8bjhkI7rMdGFgPoDvvovWudbQbfdZJtqiJE-gzCc9KKFJruVI-Q/s320/Sunday+Stamps+colours+25.02.21.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p style="text-align: center;">Thank you for stopping by today x</p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-45678772045762584392021-02-10T16:43:00.000+00:002021-02-10T16:43:02.583+00:00Sympathy for a friend<p style="text-align: center;"> Good afternoon, folks.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I don't know about you but I have had an awful lot of Sympathy and Get Well cards to make during lockdown. There has been so much illness and sad things happening. My friend recently lost her mother-in-law and I made her this card with some of my new products from Stampin' Up! including the stamp, die and the beautiful ombre paper. I stamped the image on to watercolour paper and used my Stampin' Write markers to watercolour it. I'm happy with how it turned out.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOO2sjYouibRXjKlHoKZ3DvV838lKzIppfs8Hmzsg_A68IU-o-f64d5uMqFDMIpYqedfjDX2GRwgDbqM1hOtOF1qiXTmv0LV2QwtVwaQhlSI8ZC_cYsbcL39BhvSeMLrNyw7HXBgw_WEw/s640/in+my+thoughts.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="598" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOO2sjYouibRXjKlHoKZ3DvV838lKzIppfs8Hmzsg_A68IU-o-f64d5uMqFDMIpYqedfjDX2GRwgDbqM1hOtOF1qiXTmv0LV2QwtVwaQhlSI8ZC_cYsbcL39BhvSeMLrNyw7HXBgw_WEw/s320/in+my+thoughts.png" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">I am entering this card into these challenges:</p><p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://theflowerchallenge.blogspot.com/2021/02/the-flower-challenge-53-use-your-latest.html" target="_blank">The Flower Challenge #53</a></p><p style="text-align: center;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7-IUmZ0-GBjXaPZZ48yJsgxOP_iC7uoEbud6k7DA2UmUZ5lUFhFAY0GceyyHuK7tPKI0mVva102k4MJrIACw_MPmMGLhHA8EjZ8yKEY4jXEebg77s2lgrx4ul1R5i89LzESrFkGCUi4k/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="240" data-original-width="320" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7-IUmZ0-GBjXaPZZ48yJsgxOP_iC7uoEbud6k7DA2UmUZ5lUFhFAY0GceyyHuK7tPKI0mVva102k4MJrIACw_MPmMGLhHA8EjZ8yKEY4jXEebg77s2lgrx4ul1R5i89LzESrFkGCUi4k/" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://colourcrazychallenge.blogspot.com/2021/02/week-5-anything-goes-colouring.html" target="_blank">Colour Crazy Craft Challenge - Week 5</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqOmOiRaD0ZAOdSoy3NtGXNVs7ktK6pv4xQVcxrsb9u6iZAK5ATYg7VUhlCK_Rc92-vMX3dYEEqAOK5QIqQrORNr1ATeTAoRqHkHUpVFuCNK3XtvFZUkIHivtYS6g52xRoPapV8SEov2E/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;" target="_blank"><img alt="" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="1140" height="112" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiqOmOiRaD0ZAOdSoy3NtGXNVs7ktK6pv4xQVcxrsb9u6iZAK5ATYg7VUhlCK_Rc92-vMX3dYEEqAOK5QIqQrORNr1ATeTAoRqHkHUpVFuCNK3XtvFZUkIHivtYS6g52xRoPapV8SEov2E/" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for visiting today xx</div><br /><br /></div><br /><br /><p></p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-48109084186042630892021-02-09T16:35:00.009+00:002021-02-09T16:35:55.486+00:00HLS Challenge with dies<p> Hello there! Today I'd like to share a card I made for a friend who gave me a gift. It was very kind and generous of her.</p><p>I love this Stampin' Up paper - isn't it lovely with the beautiful butterflies and wild flowers?</p><p>I stamped the sentiment in Granny Apple Green and the flower in Highland Heather (both stamps are from a long time ago Saleabration set) and then die cut it using a stitched circle die. Less is more I think with this one as there is plenty going on in the paper.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhyhaMmqLkYGiDtrEnOq16FErNHburBH_eJQ5FM3VwZNgY78jQZBmzz5MMScKtqNuYqpsONJyiMe26eKgOe1kA9J7yDThreU1qA225NsDsLXNMkldabN9N1WjF4US5uZurFIx5TY6KXG0/s640/thanks+butterfly.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="508" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhyhaMmqLkYGiDtrEnOq16FErNHburBH_eJQ5FM3VwZNgY78jQZBmzz5MMScKtqNuYqpsONJyiMe26eKgOe1kA9J7yDThreU1qA225NsDsLXNMkldabN9N1WjF4US5uZurFIx5TY6KXG0/s320/thanks+butterfly.png" /></a></div><br /><p>I'm entering this card into the February challenge at <a href="http://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com/2021/02/hls-february-anything-goes-with-dies.html">Happy Little Stampers</a>.</p><p>Thanks for visiting today x</p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-52927902697221957722021-01-28T16:28:00.002+00:002021-01-28T16:30:48.481+00:00Pretty banner<p> Good afternoon, folks.</p><p>Today, I'm sharing a card using the bold watercolour paper from Stampin' Up! that I got in the clearance rack at Christmas. I love watercolour and I love bold, bright colours so this is perfect for me. I so enjoyed making the flowers - they are heat embossed in white and watercoloured, using Stampin' Write Markers. Using the markers as my watercolour was brilliant, because you could use as much ink from the marker, or as little, depending on what part of an image you're colouring. This was so therapeutic.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTYLOdDl_85hIGKukynuOpyoQ8wyyeROSO76AaJuZJIqtB6G0HgA6-eecJCpzvIgOZFavlZynZtWRbDzJpg9tNNunHw8d8CFucgLYzih6EQic5CM7GgQPqz8viDfXK2voRsI8JJa1gw64/s640/Grateful.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="618" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTYLOdDl_85hIGKukynuOpyoQ8wyyeROSO76AaJuZJIqtB6G0HgA6-eecJCpzvIgOZFavlZynZtWRbDzJpg9tNNunHw8d8CFucgLYzih6EQic5CM7GgQPqz8viDfXK2voRsI8JJa1gw64/s320/Grateful.png" /></a></div><br /><p>I am entering this card into the <a href="http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2021/01/just-add-ink-539choose-two.html" target="_blank">Just Add Ink #539</a> challenge which is to Just Choose Two - a border, banner, bow. I hope you are all well and safe.</p><p>At the beginning of January, I managed to get a few bargains from Stampin' Up!'s clearance rack and one of these was the gorgeous "See a Silhouette" Designer Series Paper. I love the beautiful colour palette in these papers.</p><p>Today's card that I'd like to share with you is a Thinking of You card as I know so many people at the minute who are not well or struggling in some way and I wanted to encourage them. So I made up a few of these to send out.</p><p>I heat embossed the flower onto watercolour paper in white and then watercoloured it using my Stampin' Write Markers, then punched it out and adhered it on top of a stamped image from the Gorgeous Grunge set using Old Olive ink. I'm pleased with how it turned out.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjCHdnXyWOVxV4JxnB2flu0EyJ_RgV2ug1YLudbaBRfv-u72W3Fo9YHWiwgxn9cXqT7914shTVHaYMe5IP2JVpFB6RyOC28aMnUlxhOgPNlnyIWXmo5T-bhputLJnIyfwoaNjT8FKjLiw/s1280/Thinking+of+You+card.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1073" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjCHdnXyWOVxV4JxnB2flu0EyJ_RgV2ug1YLudbaBRfv-u72W3Fo9YHWiwgxn9cXqT7914shTVHaYMe5IP2JVpFB6RyOC28aMnUlxhOgPNlnyIWXmo5T-bhputLJnIyfwoaNjT8FKjLiw/s320/Thinking+of+You+card.png" /></a></div><div><br /></div>Thank you for visiting today xx<br /><p><br /></p>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-20194888400237063592021-01-15T18:25:00.000+00:002021-01-15T18:25:40.039+00:0080th Birthday<p> I was asked by a friend to create a card for her Great Granny who was turning 80 years young, and here is what I came up with. I have to say I'm pleased with the results, as I wanted something quite stylish and I found that these Autumn foil speciality papers from Stampin' Up! fit the bill. I've just recently signed up as a SU! demonstrator and am waiting for my new goodies to arrive, so in the meantime I had to use SU! products from older catalogues. The stamps used here are from Number of Years and the dies match the stamp set. These are great for anything celebrating birthdays or anniversaries. I die cut 3 of each number to raise it up and give it dimension. The little tab with Granny's name on it was cut out with a previous SU! punch.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiia5n3i_bbhrhFesbwZ2RSB6IGC9TGWO9VXw-0FOC1GRUVGxMFu34_aGMgd6MXizevUKlsG0iZn_iZ7NQvq-pM22vyQCy_yOPYtnN7YVD9_2oljO5WFGg4nLyxZ3a7_Qd-4hyphenhyphen_Wo1ADtY/s1331/Look+who%2527s+turning+80.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1331" data-original-width="1321" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiia5n3i_bbhrhFesbwZ2RSB6IGC9TGWO9VXw-0FOC1GRUVGxMFu34_aGMgd6MXizevUKlsG0iZn_iZ7NQvq-pM22vyQCy_yOPYtnN7YVD9_2oljO5WFGg4nLyxZ3a7_Qd-4hyphenhyphen_Wo1ADtY/s320/Look+who%2527s+turning+80.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9BQhnF4hglT81LUoXuIhBJDDQwnG8zsFFGcg4MxtYcy2dBA4OMwoDHT9eT0kgOS7FOiFXDhsmqQ5pUFIqmMjQYRrDdEJkU4x3DOjH692FeJIaR2VxhV0sJNoBQnpZJjSLfCi9iPK1wSo/s1422/Look+who%2527s+turning+80b.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1422" data-original-width="1262" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9BQhnF4hglT81LUoXuIhBJDDQwnG8zsFFGcg4MxtYcy2dBA4OMwoDHT9eT0kgOS7FOiFXDhsmqQ5pUFIqmMjQYRrDdEJkU4x3DOjH692FeJIaR2VxhV0sJNoBQnpZJjSLfCi9iPK1wSo/s320/Look+who%2527s+turning+80b.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRul7SD2eXQkc5nOzJuNUpag9eB1swhGORv3rQPNGZ-V1dYeA2RKczFU2ZPbcxlDa0KbhTsJimWw4mRZkmHy6TQFznRHQZQTrzxX5_AGTQrmSXd_67WpwUbWb8c7SxlkCxhoYA5M7otVM/s1280/look+who%2527s+turning+80c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1247" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRul7SD2eXQkc5nOzJuNUpag9eB1swhGORv3rQPNGZ-V1dYeA2RKczFU2ZPbcxlDa0KbhTsJimWw4mRZkmHy6TQFznRHQZQTrzxX5_AGTQrmSXd_67WpwUbWb8c7SxlkCxhoYA5M7otVM/s320/look+who%2527s+turning+80c.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hopefully when I get my new goodies, I'll be able to share lots of what's going on in the new catalogues, including Saleabration where you can get free products for every £45 you spend! I'm so glad to be back posting again after a bit of a break. I hope you are all well and had a good restful Christmas holiday.</p><p>At Christmas, my husband and I were very blessed to receive kind and thoughtful gifts for which we are truly thankful, so I needed some cards to say Thank You. Is it just me or do people not really say thanks much anymore? I think we take too much for granted and I really believe we should always be thankful for what people give us - and then let them know it. I know that the recipients of these cards appreciated them and that has also shown me how much people still like to receive a card in the post. A text, WhatsApp or Instagram message is OK, but a card can be kept for a long time, put on display and be a reminder of how someone cared enough about them to take the time to make a card for them. Their wedding invitation is really lovely and autumnal with the gorgeous warm colours that we associate with autumn. You can see a wee peek of their invitation on the left. I knew exactly what I wanted to make and this is what I came up with.</p><p style="text-align: center;">The diagonal stamp and the sentiment are both from Clearly Besotted; I inked these up in Old Olive and then I added a few leaves which I die cut from the <i>absolutely gorgeous</i> new Stampin' Up! I’ve been making cards for over a decade now and for the first time ever, I was invited to be a guest designer for a card challenge. It’s over at <a href="http://feeling-sketchy.blogspot.com/2020/09/sketch-246.html?m=1">Feeling Sketchy</a>. I feel very honoured to have been asked to do this. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Here’s the sketch for the challenge along with my card. I used a stencil that I've had for ages and I think have only used once before. Saying that, I absolutely love it, because it has a gorgeous pattern of leaves (love anything with a pretty leaf on it!) and it is so open to many possibilities for a card. I think it is a Concord & 9th stencil but I'm not 100% sure. I'm entering this card into the challenge at <a href="http://asyoulikeitchallenge.blogspot.com/2020/09/favourite-stencil-and-why.html" target="_blank">As You Like It</a>, which calls for a stencil and reasons why we love it.</p><p style="text-align: center;">I used some Distress Inks for this card, following the challenge colours at <a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2020/09/color-throwdown-610.html" target="_blank">Colour Throwdown #610</a> - Barn Door, Wild Honey, Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs. </p><p style="text-align: center;">The stamped sentiments are also from a Concord & 9th set (I never keep the packaging so I can't say what it is).</p><p style="text-align: center;">I'm also going to enter this into the challenge over at <a href="http://casology.blogspot.com/2020/09/week-373-september.html" target="_blank">CASology week 373</a> - September.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiubXp5WkCGujKQvltKuJpgztsQSHDSnRXNfHp9ctrrhdt3CRoXmZLisUWqVR3_i5iuVernmJ1JBeRzgKugPUTBB7pkFr_38agG5Qr3DMuARt9QIIvlD_kaLV-XCBFgnY5TkEFdmVzSOMY/s1280/Marlou%2527s+card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1044" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiubXp5WkCGujKQvltKuJpgztsQSHDSnRXNfHp9ctrrhdt3CRoXmZLisUWqVR3_i5iuVernmJ1JBeRzgKugPUTBB7pkFr_38agG5Qr3DMuARt9QIIvlD_kaLV-XCBFgnY5TkEFdmVzSOMY/s320/Marlou%2527s+card.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLPQpK7WCKWAifTbsv8PktMVsAjuwt-yjsdkcq91sSS2kZNAI7qRg8biX_bw0bH3TRMnYx_am9-iWN96s5ELf-_7MlBU8lianQ-GJukmgWG17dD-YdDSekyl8ci-EtpxhHbRdP_ZRDVWw/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="339" data-original-width="742" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLPQpK7WCKWAifTbsv8PktMVsAjuwt-yjsdkcq91sSS2kZNAI7qRg8biX_bw0bH3TRMnYx_am9-iWN96s5ELf-_7MlBU8lianQ-GJukmgWG17dD-YdDSekyl8ci-EtpxhHbRdP_ZRDVWw/" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFnvZzUEuct1xJsz3aFbev_yqz2XkajEm39hOqTzhYPgEPc2XH2qPa3i7RnnrTiWFR0TvC_rx6rUe7lzBBGbtL62y4usM8_IB6pb1wQlJL6WHHf7xhBS6n3g-I6PjKd6Jre_GAfaVkU1M/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="490" data-original-width="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFnvZzUEuct1xJsz3aFbev_yqz2XkajEm39hOqTzhYPgEPc2XH2qPa3i7RnnrTiWFR0TvC_rx6rUe7lzBBGbtL62y4usM8_IB6pb1wQlJL6WHHf7xhBS6n3g-I6PjKd6Jre_GAfaVkU1M/s16000/image.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3RMZZcOXRx6176BZkDvMkaqoQsWB3nJ94GHc94QriBroBX0DtRTyQgzZOoWdsUbWnzPTatlPha4Nzk4FldwDpaEsjuxlMBXiXY2yhCVKyTL6Y4n-vEV46iSQLqTLlLggTlUpsoOFr4mM/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="256" data-original-width="256" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3RMZZcOXRx6176BZkDvMkaqoQsWB3nJ94GHc94QriBroBX0DtRTyQgzZOoWdsUbWnzPTatlPha4Nzk4FldwDpaEsjuxlMBXiXY2yhCVKyTL6Y4n-vEV46iSQLqTLlLggTlUpsoOFr4mM/s16000/image.png" /></a></div><br /><br /></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are keeping safe, wherever you are today.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Today I would like to share another card that I made five of, for some friends who have lost a beloved family member this past week. I used the <i>Number of Years</i> stamp set from Stampin' Up!, which is a favourite of mine, because of the numbers (I also have the matching dies). However, I've never really used the pretty flower before. It is actually a sweet flower, which can be stamped in green for the leaves and then the blooms can all be added separately in different colours. I'll definitely be using this one again! The colours I used are: (Stampin' Up!) Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron and Blushing Bride. I matted the card with So Saffron cardstock. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things. It was so simple to make multiple cards using my Misti.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">This is my second entry into the challenge at <a href="https://aaacards.blogspot.com/2020/07/cas-game-170-maxi-white-space-optional.html?m=1">AAA Cards #170 - Maxi white space with a twist (flowers)</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghw602MmDNdm9StEvlvbAWMuwaKstluVkJkiFrPehKtOaKP86L0D4tVDM8VpNcpI95QxTlgVd-9vj585ht3ykUYv3KpQK4FGmMDUr42tbJz7nujMxmynAcX0N27FD6UM2EqZjO_wXgwu8/s1394/Yellow+flowers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1394" data-original-width="1085" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghw602MmDNdm9StEvlvbAWMuwaKstluVkJkiFrPehKtOaKP86L0D4tVDM8VpNcpI95QxTlgVd-9vj585ht3ykUYv3KpQK4FGmMDUr42tbJz7nujMxmynAcX0N27FD6UM2EqZjO_wXgwu8/s320/Yellow+flowers.jpg" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for stopping by today x</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-54336666495481343072020-07-21T10:30:00.002+00:002020-07-21T10:30:48.144+00:00CAS celebrate with flowers <div style="text-align: center;">Hi folks! Today I’m sharing a very clean and simple card that I made to keep at the ready in my stash of cards for just when I might need it quickly. I’m actually pleased with how it turned out. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I used a stamp that I bought many years ago from Stampin’ Up! but I can’t remember the name of it. It was originally one of the small wheels stamps, but recently I took all the stamps off the wheels and turned them into single border stamps. What a change in the weather, again. It's been a wet and windy weekend here in Northern Ireland.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Today, I'm sharing a card that I made for my daughter's birthday this week. She always jokes that she is still only in her 20s so I made this for her. </div><div style="text-align: center;">I used a background stamp from Taylored Expressions which I heat embossed in gold onto Bockingford cold-pressed watercolour paper and then watercoloured it, using Stampin' Up! ink - Blushing Bride, Lucky Limeade, Marina Mist and Mango Melody. I have to say, I am very impressed by Stampin' Up!'s quality of products. Two of these ink pads retired a while ago and yet the pads are still juicy with ink and I haven't had to re-ink them. In fact, I've learned a valuable lesson and that is to purchase the ink refills for all of my ink pads because, even if they retire and you have the refill, you can still use them for some time to come. The sentiment and number dies are from Stampin' Up! - Number of Years (photopolymer stamp set and matching die). This is a very versatile set that can be used for many different occasions. I cut the numbers from Blushing Bride Glimmer Cardstock. I also die cut the speech bubble from a My Favorite Things stitched die.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm entering this card into the colour challenge at <a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2020/06/color-throwdown-599.html">Colour Throwdown #599</a> and also at <a href="http://seizethebirthday.blogspot.com/2020/06/reminder-193-watercoloring.html">Seize the Birthday with a topping of watercolouring #193</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEoCFAbUEsZIxKED-nKPOoVAc5qGdU7PHJynh_bUZkx08ZuFLrD38h8jOykI1HZ6g8ArJ6_39hJUuWYRRvN0e_RLH_nGAjfGIVRf3E9zPeJ5A9khn71jalDoYEec-JaZWvzc7wXwNMG0s/s2001/29+again.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2001" data-original-width="1652" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEoCFAbUEsZIxKED-nKPOoVAc5qGdU7PHJynh_bUZkx08ZuFLrD38h8jOykI1HZ6g8ArJ6_39hJUuWYRRvN0e_RLH_nGAjfGIVRf3E9zPeJ5A9khn71jalDoYEec-JaZWvzc7wXwNMG0s/s320/29+again.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img height="190" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-dQbmYUVMZcA/XsqZlTYj83I/AAAAAAABr0M/OW9hdH0wx30LxFq4D0FbpKssqFip7R63ACLcBGAsYHQ/w256-h190/swatch599.jpg" width="256" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thank you for visiting today xx</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-28904781305227104432020-06-24T08:53:00.001+00:002020-06-24T08:53:47.100+00:00My beautiful girl!<div style="text-align: center;">Hi folks! I hope you are all keeping well.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Today I am sharing a card I made for my lovely daughter. Do you ever find yourself making one of those 'just because' cards for everyone else and forget to do it for your nearest and dearest? I try to surprise her with a 'just because' card every so often and here is today's.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">The flowers are from a My Favourite Things (MFT) set from ages ago, the ink and striped paper are Stampin' Up! in Tempting Turquoise (yes, my ink pad is still inky after about 8 years!) and Crumb Cake. The sentiment is a more recent set from MFT with the matching die YOU. The beautiful turquoise glitter card is from a trip to USA a couple of years when I went into a Hobby Lobby store!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I am entering this card into 4 challenges:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://justusgirlschallenge.blogspot.com/2020/06/just-us-girls-challenge-541-color-week.html">Just Us Girls #541 - Turquoise, Kraft, White</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.com/2020/06/challenge-422-solid-and-outline.html">Less is More #422 - Solid and Outline</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://alphabetchallengeblog.blogspot.com/">Alphabet Challenge - 'F' Flora/fauna</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.global-design-project.com/2020/06/global-design-project-246-sketch.html">Global Design Project #246 - Sketch</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjbAk0BWCzlaO4j5ZtHh0mICJ7EmayRb1ywR7nL4ntPpZbobNC0dwxdBsHuROayvXP7lfS464fwLgoRqHnH_pPc-bluaQGDyIGHHT5Vc9KfeiL95CqnetmINFnphCP5kJPzl1WcEtiwCk/s2197/Becz%2527s+card3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2197" data-original-width="1751" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgjbAk0BWCzlaO4j5ZtHh0mICJ7EmayRb1ywR7nL4ntPpZbobNC0dwxdBsHuROayvXP7lfS464fwLgoRqHnH_pPc-bluaQGDyIGHHT5Vc9KfeiL95CqnetmINFnphCP5kJPzl1WcEtiwCk/s320/Becz%2527s+card3.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img height="220" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJBwJlb9Eml3pgdidEyOZ5362ngdfHjxse4nomYSlt5leRELaciA8RrDqbLca4xp-gI1NRObsjijRM-faXrPfNszelmzFGy8TIYkBeIcT6t-bFkUZVozfj1P2PDA6p8xOT2dqrCdNWDs31/w256-h220/Screen+Shot+2020-04-13+at+4.58.18+PM.png" width="256" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img height="146" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFqLNeRZ8JM7ombqBmuOC2IsQanHHxj1531j9cZebnNe9uOtKmNcE-YogyCmxvwX5d33aqaqI4zBPoFwWn6yIVQGOxJuQZHImaHy6EMp_3vd9hyUfYF7NcBLdIKz26MHC0Si4SDuMh16N6/w256-h146/422+Recipe+Solid+Outline.jpg" width="256" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRvWQC7bfwJOJdkTpOvPaBvzVRfDI5Ri80JjhaMws90KiFi6W7eRc7iDlssNT3YytMksrj7z-qIpmLFc4UblV5hNFh4IGmGR1nM_x5Itfr91hPEPtq4z1zolCwVBrbseGXWmQ1QoBnNJk/s320/246.jpg" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thank you for visiting today xx</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4335618385644937218.post-82286170206033449952020-06-21T10:23:00.002+00:002020-06-21T10:23:43.644+00:00Golden YOU!<div style="text-align: center;">Good morning, everyone. I hope you are all staying safe and well and enjoying some extra crafting time.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Today I'm sharing a card I have made for my friend, who will be 60 in a couple of weeks' time. I was going to put the numbers on the front of the card but I decided to put them on the inside instead as I wanted Y-O-U to be the highlight, not the age.</div><div style="text-align: center;">I blended my pink and aqua shades on to watervolour paper using Distress Inks then die cut this using a Chevron Die from My Favorite Things. I splattered gold paint all over it then painted the outside frame in gold too. I die cut the word using gold sparkly foam that I picked up in a Hobbycraft store and finally heat embossed the sentiment and die cut it, popping it up on foam.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">I'm entering this card into the following challenges:</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2020/06/color-throwdown-598.html">Colour Throwdown #598 - Pink, Aqua, Gold and White</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://happylittlestampers.blogspot.com/2020/06/hls-june-anything-goes-with-dies.html">Happy Little Stampers - Anything Goes with Dies</a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh60vw0yXlHFywMYhNidxj9ZP1M9yglTFbyhPHg7pdsEZgqo3DrTrrICeXPduPDeQ8SgmFDVfPAcbU3R3-1rh7VRFujYG4cYRqRJIZk6W15lCO6WvljqsbQgzWtmHg1V_rzy8Cz3sBfu30/s1858/Olive%2527s+card1.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1858" data-original-width="1780" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh60vw0yXlHFywMYhNidxj9ZP1M9yglTFbyhPHg7pdsEZgqo3DrTrrICeXPduPDeQ8SgmFDVfPAcbU3R3-1rh7VRFujYG4cYRqRJIZk6W15lCO6WvljqsbQgzWtmHg1V_rzy8Cz3sBfu30/s320/Olive%2527s+card1.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf27ehlwSSVyn4zS81O10lOvtyHkhlBbNfDG5TiypoCyyKDDC0-kPnqV4uTa2TJGF8VDTpvSWgPpGLJmWKBNEfdL_wiSTuMEupsAxeQ9XYWAgrujw0b0K6i14fq9AhgKBoXEwhBVuC3J8/s2219/Olive%2527s+card2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2219" data-original-width="1490" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjf27ehlwSSVyn4zS81O10lOvtyHkhlBbNfDG5TiypoCyyKDDC0-kPnqV4uTa2TJGF8VDTpvSWgPpGLJmWKBNEfdL_wiSTuMEupsAxeQ9XYWAgrujw0b0K6i14fq9AhgKBoXEwhBVuC3J8/s320/Olive%2527s+card2.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Thank you for visiting my blog today x</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div>Karen Mhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17827792973638881008noreply@blogger.com4
