Christmas in May

Hello friends. I hope you’re all well and keeping safe in these strange times. Here in my town this evening, not only are we still under lockdown (albeit slightly relaxed), but now our electricity has gone off suddenly so I can’t even make a cup of tea! I’ll maybe have to go outside later and try to start a fire with a few sticks and boil some water on it 😆! In spite of all these things, the weather is amazing so there’s always something to be positive about.
So, earlier today, I made a card which combines three different challenges:
It’s been such a long time since I’ve used stickers on my cards. I’ve had these ones from Simple Stories for about 10 years so I was surprised to find that they are as sticky as when I first bought them.

Thanks for visiting today xx

Miss you

Hi there, folks.  During these uncertain, difficult times, every one of us is missing someone - whether it's because of the lockdown or, worse still, having lost a loved one.  We're missing family and friends and we can keep in touch via social media, phone calls, texts, etc.  But isn't it nice when we receive a card from someone that we can set up somewhere and look at it every time we pass it?  It's a constant reminder that someone, somewhere cares about us and has been thinking about us and wants to see us again.  This card is just such a card that I made for my friend.
This is a new stamp from Taylored Expressions which I heat embossed in white and then watercoloured with Altenew paints.  The sentiment is an old, but still loved, Paper Smooches stamp (I think!).

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Thanks for visiting today!  See you soon xx

Starting over...

Hello folks.  Long time, no see.  I fell off the card making wagon last year and just couldn't get started again until now.  I'm back to making a few cards, especially ones that are Copic coloured.  I've always loved the blended look of copics and promarkers and have been practising for months and months.  I'm nowhere near good yet, but I like how my cards are looking now, so I'll keep going.

Here's a timely card I made using a free digi stamp that I got over at Polkadoodles.  It's in celebration of all the NHS heroes.  It's one of a set, some outlines, others pre-coloured.  They're still free, so pop over and get yours now.

I'm entering this card into the 'Anything Goes' challenge at Polkadoodles.  I used Copic markers and Polychromo pencils to colour this.

Thanks for visiting.  Hope to see you again soon xx
